Safeguarding

The systems behind the trust.

A home can be warm and still be rigorous. Ours is built to be both, with safety designed in rather than added on.

01

Safety and safeguarding

Warm and relational, and strongly governed.

Serious professionals need to see the systems behind the warmth. Here they are, stated plainly and without alarm.

  • i.

    Safeguarding leadership

A designated safeguarding lead, clear thresholds, and direct routes to the local authority designated officer where needed.

  • ii.

    Risk assessment and planning

Individual plans that are living documents, reviewed as a young person changes and as new information comes in.

  • iii.

    Incident oversight

Serious events are recorded, notified and reviewed properly, with learning fed back rather than filed away.

  • iv.

    External accountability

Independent visits and quality reviews under Regulation 44 and 45, alongside Ofsted oversight.

  • v.

    Trained, supervised staff

Structured induction, regular supervision and a clear training matrix keep practice safe and consistent.

  • vi.

    Quality assurance

Regular auditing against the regulations, so standards are checked in practice, not just promised on paper.

02

Policies, on request.

Our safeguarding, behaviour support, complaints and admissions policies are available to placing authorities and professionals on request.

Common questions

What do professionals ask first?

Straight answers about how we keep young people safe.

Who deals with safeguarding concerns?

A designated safeguarding lead, with clear thresholds for action and direct routes to the local authority designated officer where needed. Any adult in the home can raise a concern.

How are risks managed for each young person?

Every young person has an individual plan that is a living document. We review it as they change and as new information comes in.

Who checks the quality of the home?

Independent visits and quality reviews under Regulations 44 and 45 sit alongside Ofsted oversight, and we audit our own practice against the regulations.

Can professionals see your safeguarding policies?

Yes. Our safeguarding, behaviour support, complaints and admissions policies are available to placing authorities and professionals on request.
